About this Website
The primary purpose of this website is to serve as an online portfolio of my writing and photography. I have tried to make the content varied to some extent, but this is relative as most articles and photographs in this website show recent work done in the past five years - it’s recent work that sticks out crisply in my mind. I entirely designed and built this website myself.

Most of my writing is travel-writing in its widest sense and its many forms, and the destination-focus is often on outdoorsy, natural attractions - nature and the outdoors are my passions.
The writing reproduced in this website reflect the different forms that feature prominently in my body of work. These are:
- Travel Features: longish and newsy travel-related article features written in the style of news-features, with the article spun on some new developments - anything that gives the story a topical relevancy and new information.
- Travel Tales. Narrative adventure stories of travel where the story is experiential, written from a first-person viewpoint.
- Food & Travel. Articles about the experience of food during travel, as well as stories about exotic foods in general, or the gathering or cultivation of food.
- Feature Articles. General feature articles, written in the style of researched news features, that can cover non-travel subjects (although some are also about subjects or issues related to travel or tourism).
- Essays & Rants. A combination of essays, memoirs, and op-ed style pieces.
- Guidebooks. A few pages that give information about some of the guidebooks I have written, as well as two long excerpts from two of my guidebooks.
- Picture Galleries. A fraction of my pictures are displayed in 14 different themed picture galleries or slide shows - the point of grouping the pictures in themes is meant to make browsing the galleries more fun.

As a matter of policy I don’t create links or ads on this website as it’s inappropriate to have third-party ads in a portfolio website. Yet there are possibilities for links or partnerships in the other websites I’m associated with, and I would be glad to hear of any ideas or offers you might have in this regard.
